A collaboration between the National Bank of Bahrain (NBB) and Emeritus for the launch of the “Sustainability Academy”—a program designed to deepen the integration of ESG principles into the Bank’s operations.
As part of this initiative, Ms. Melina Taprantzi, Founder of Earth and Co. delivered an intensive 5-day course filled with case studies, hands-on exercises, and real-world applications. The program provided employees with in-depth knowledge on sustainability, ESG risk management, treasury strategies, sustainable finance, compliance, and ESG-driven communication.
A key focus of the program was helping participants understand the physical and transition risks facing banks, while also uncovering ESG-related opportunities. Through interactive workshops, attendees explored how to innovative more in the designing of green financial products and enhance due diligence and operations through ESG integration.
This initiative reinforces NBB’s commitment to embedding sustainability into its core strategy, equipping its teams with the tools to drive impactful and future-ready financial solutions.
